Richard Tallaron

Richard is the director and co-founder of LFEE Europe. His main responsibilities in the organisation are to oversee the management and development of all our European training programmes, as well as bilateral / multinational mobility projects for Teachers and other Educators.

He graduated in “Scottish Literature and Culture” and “French as a Foreign Language” from the University of Grenoble and is a PLL (Primary Language Learning) Teacher Trainer. He now trains teachers both at Primary and Secondary levels throughout Europe and beyond, having recently worked in Western Australia.

He is a firm believer in the importance of learning foreign languages from a young age, and of innovation in the field of modern language teaching.

Elise Gay

Co-founder of LFEE Europe in 1998, Elise is responsible for the management and training of the team of LFEE language tutors, the elaboration of teaching and training materials and programmes, and the quality control of LFEE teaching practices.

She is a graduate of “English Language and Cultures” and “French as a Foreign Language” from the University of Rouen in Normandy, and has held various teaching jobs since her arrival in Scotland in 1996, including posts at the University of Edinburgh and at the French Institute. She specialises in the teaching of languages to Young Learners, and worked as a consultant and French teacher in many Primary and Nursery schools before becoming a Teacher Trainer.

She is passionate about Education in general and the teaching/learning of languages in particular.

Ros Main

Ros joined LFEE Europe in 2004, where her main responsibility lies in administering all LFEE’s training courses, in particular our Immersion Courses in France, Scotland and Spain. This role involves being the first point of contact for interested participants, through to advising successful applicants on any aspect of their training with us, be it before or after the course.

Ros provides guidance to teachers applying for EU funding to ensure their application process goes smoothly, assists successful applicants with travel queries and offers guidance on any other course-related questions.

On a day-to-day basis Ros is also responsible for the company’s financials and for providing support to her colleagues in preparing training course materials.

Sophie Samalens

A graduate of « English Language and Cultures » and « French as a Foreign Language» from the Universities of Toulouse and Galway (Republic of Ireland), Sophie has been part of LFEE Europe’s teaching team since 2003.

She worked in close collaboration with several primary and secondary schools in Scotland for 4 years before specialising in the creation of innovative and motivating teaching resources for schools. Sophie is in charge of developing programmes and teaching materials for LFEE courses and workshops for primary and secondary teachers and pupils, as well as delivering the training itself.

Her vision of the learning of modern foreign languages in a few words: fun, meaningful and challenging.

Angélique Dupré

Angélique has been part of LFEE Europe’s team of French Language Tutors since 2014. Angélique has delivered teacher training courses across the country and abroad, and previously worked in several primary schools in Scotland teaching French.

She is involved in the development and running of LFEE Europe’s Erasmus+ (European) projects and other training programmes.

Angélique is very passionate about languages and – being already bilingual in French and English – her next goal is to become fluent in Spanish!
