Erasmus+ information

Would you like to apply for a place on one of our immersion courses?

Please follow the steps below (click on each step to read in full)

A. IF YOU/YOUR SCHOOL HAVE NOT YET APPLIED FOR ERASMUS+ FUNDING

+ Step 1 – Contact us to book your place(s)

Teachers/schools pre-register interest for a course/courses with LFEE Europe (immersions@lfee.net). We will provisionally book a place for you/your teachers on your chosen course(s) until you have received funding results from your National Agency (see below). We will send you a letter of Provisional Registration and Guidelines on how to apply for Erasmus+ funding, and we will try to help you as much as we can along the way.

+ Step 2 – Apply for Erasmus + funding

Schools apply for Erasmus + funding from their National Agency by the specified deadline.  We have created a “Guidelines to Erasmus+ Application” document, which you will receive following your provisional registration with us.  This document provides information on how to download, complete and submit the Erasmus+ application form.

Once your Erasmus+ application has been submitted to your National Agency, please send us an email to confirm that you have applied for the funding.  We will continue to reserve your provisional place(s) on our course(s) until you have had the results of your application.

+ Step 3 – Get back to us with the result of your Erasmus+ application

As soon as Erasmus+ funding results are announced teachers/schools MUST get back in touch with LFEE Europe to let us know of the positive or negative outcome of their application (please note that National Agencies do not keep course providers informed of the results of applications). The place(s) held on your chosen course(s) are then either confirmed or cancelled (no payment will be due if you cancel at this stage). PLEASE NOTE that your registration is ON HOLD until we have heard back from all prospective applicants or until we have enough successful applicants to run the course(s). NO TRAVEL BOOKINGS SHOULD BE MADE AT THIS STAGE.

+ Step 4 – Receive Course confirmation from us & Book travel

Teachers/schools receive confirmation from LFEE Europe that their chosen course is going ahead. Travel arrangements to France/Spain/Scotland should be made at this stage. You can also cancel your registration at this stage should you wish to at no cost. Please note that LFEE Europe is responsible for booking your accommodation, meals, etc. for the duration of the course but YOU or YOUR SCHOOL/EDUCATION AUTHORITY are in charge of your own travel arrangements.

+ Step 5 – Send us your Personal Details and Travel Details forms

A “Course Confirmation Pack” is sent out to teachers/schools.Included in this pack will be a “personal details and travel arrangements form” which should be completed and sent back to LFEE Europe as soon as your travel arrangements have been made. The pack will contain information about your accommodation and other practical details about your chosen course(s). Please note that if you withdraw from the course anytime during the 2 weeks prior to the start date, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of 20% of the total fee payable to LFEE.  This fee is to cover the cost of accommodation cancellation charges.  If you withdraw due to medical reasons, this fee is not applicable.

+ Step 6 – Final correspondence with LFEE Europe

An updated course programme is sent out to you about a week before your course starts and any last-minute information is exchanged.

B. IF YOU/YOUR SCHOOL HAVE APPLIED FOR ERASMUS+ FUNDING BUT ARE AWAITING RESULTS

+ Step 1 – Contact us to book your place(s)

Teachers/schools pre-register interest for a course/courses with LFEE Europe (immersions@lfee.net). We will provisionally book a place for you/your teachers on your chosen course(s) until you have received funding results from your National Agency.

Then follow Step 3 to Step 6 in section A above.

C. IF YOU/YOUR SCHOOL HAVE APPLIED FOR ERASMUS+ FUNDING AND HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN OBTAINING A GRANT

+ Step 1 – Contact us to book your place(s)

Teachers/schools contact LFEE Europe (immersions@lfee.net) with dates of their chosen course(s). Three situations are likely at this stage:

a. Your chosen course is confirmed as GOING AHEAD: Teachers/schools receive confirmation from LFEE Europe that their chosen course is going ahead. Travel arrangements to France/Spain/Scotland should be made at this stage. Please note that LFEE Europe is responsible for booking your accommodation, meals, etc. for the duration of the course but YOU or YOUR SCHOOL/EDUCATION AUTHORITY are in charge of your own travel arrangements.

Then follow Step 5 and Step 6 in section A above.

b. Your chosen course is ON HOLD: We will book a place for you/your teachers on your chosen course(s) until we have heard back from all prospective applicants or until we have enough successful applicants to run the course(s). NO TRAVEL BOOKINGS SHOULD BE MADE AT THIS STAGE.

Then follow Step 4 to Step 6 in section A above.

c. Your chosen course has been CANCELLED: Some courses might have to be cancelled if an insufficient number of applicants are receiving funding, and we will try to update our website as soon as possible after a cancelation. In the unlikely event that you are contacting us about a course that is no longer running, we will offer you a place on an alternative course, if available.

Please note that our main means of contacting you is via e-mail so please make sure you provide us with a working e-mail address that you are likely to check regularly, and that you inform us of any change of e-mail address at any point during the application process. Please also make sure that you get in touch with us as soon as possible if you haven’t heard from us for a while or are in any doubt about any aspect of your course.
N.B. Our courses are very popular so please contact us as soon as possible to register interest as places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note, however, that we require a minimum number of applicants to obtain their ERASMUS+ funding before we can run any of our courses. In the unlikely event of your chosen course(s) having to be cancelled, we will give you priority on another similar course of your choice, if available.
